Ensuring Safety and Security

At The Garbage Guardian, the safety and security of our clients and team members are our top priorities. To help us maintain smooth operations, we kindly ask that all trash be securely placed inside the trash can by 7 p.m. the night before collection. Our routes begin promptly at 7 p.m., and adhering to this schedule helps minimize potential hazards and allows our team to provide efficient service.

Additionally, please ensure there is a clear walking path to your trash can. During winter months, if there are snow conditions, we appreciate your efforts to either place salt or create a clear path to facilitate our collection process.

Commitment to Sanitation

At The Garbage Guardian, sanitation is a cornerstone of our service. To uphold our high standards, we kindly ask that all waste be securely bagged and placed inside your trash can. This practice helps prevent spillage and allows our team to handle your waste with minimal contact, ensuring a safe experience for everyone.

A clean trash can not only keeps your property tidy but also contributes to a healthier environment for all. If we determine that your garbage can poses a health risk to our workers—due to issues such as spoiled food, maggots, mud, or strong spoiled odors—we may request that it be cleaned. We offer a can cleaning service for $15.00 per can.

Please note that we reserve the right to pause your service until your trash can meets our sanitation standards. If our team arrives and is unable to provide service due to sanitation concerns, we may charge a fee for the service visit.

However, if you choose to utilize The Garbage Guardian for can cleaning, we will waive the charge for the following week’s service.

To facilitate this, it's crucial that trash cans be positioned no more than 500 feet from the curb. This proximity allows us to complete our routes efficiently and keeps our team on schedule. Furthermore, our Custom Notification Service is available to keep you informed about your trash collection times, ensuring you never miss a pickup.
